9am to 12 Noon. Vaccination Clinic offers rabies shots, DHLP-Parvo shot, 3 year rabies and for cats, the 3-way shot. For the 3 year rabies proof of previous vaccination required. State law requires all dogs and cats to be vaccinated against rabies and city and county ordinances require licenses. All dogs in Grant County require licenses to run concurrently with rabies shot. Community Forum on Fort Bayard
8:30am to 12Noon. Dr. Alfredo Vigil, Secretary of the Department of Health, will be the keynote speaker. Focus of forum is on the Fort Bayard Medical Center and Yucca Lodge/Detoxification Center. There will be a Q & A session and the community can submit questions at the forum. Dr. Vigil and a panel of local officials and representatives will be on hand to answer submitted questions. The Froum will be broadcast on CATS, TV Channel 19 and KOOTS Broadcase Channel 8.

4th SASS New Mexico State Championship Shootout
The Gila Rangers will be hosting their 4th SASS (Single Action Shooting Society) New Mexico State Championship Shootout‚ "Southwest Border Dispute" at their permanent range in the Mimbres Valley‚ about 35 miles NE of Silver City. Exact location is Mile Marker 10 on Rte 35‚ off Rte 152. We expect around 200 shooters plus families from not only NM but from around the country‚ plus we’ll have many vendor booths offering a variety of "old west" products---period clothing‚ leather‚ jewelry‚ arts‚ etc. In addition to the NM State Champion awards‚ a competition between AZ & NM shooters will determine if the winner gets to move the state boundary line 50 miles further out-----(loser gets Lordsburg!).

Live Capone-E (Rap Concert)

Doors open at 6:30pm. Suitable for all ages - Mr. Capone-E is a rapper and producer from the Los Angeles, California. He has sold over 500,000 records. Mr Capone-E has collaborated with such hip hop performers as Bone Thugs-n-Harmony, Twista, NB Ridaz, Lil Flip, and Nate Dogg. This show is being produced by Hoodfellas Entertainment. Hoodfellas Entertainment was started by Kilo Brown (Silver City) and Kane (Bayard), two local aspiring rap artists. The two have opened for many major acts including Chingo Bling, NB Riders, and many more. Kane will be releasing his first solo album under the Hoodfellas label this summer which he recorded at Pardox Studios in El Paso, TX.will feature Romero of Clicka 1 and Rasheed of Houston Tx. Kilo Brown will be releasing his 2nd solo album in July due to the success of his last album. Some of the artists that will be featured on his upcoming album include Max Payne (Dallas, TX), Lucky Luciano (Houston, TX), Romero (Las Vegas, NV), and a few other New Mexico artists. 15th Annual San Vincente Fiesta & 1st Annual Bike Run

Come to the hottest happening in Silver City. July 26th, 9am to 8pm and July 27th, 10am to 5pm. Booths! Music! Fun! Entertainment! Food! 1st Bike Run! Games, prizes, raffles, drawings, arts & crafts, food vendors, Ice Cream Shoppe, huachas/horseshoes, bingo. AND there will be the exciting 1st Fiesta Bike Run around the loop on Saturday, July 26th. Breakfast and registration will start at 8a-930a. Free breakfast for all registered bikers. Winners will be announced at the Fiesta at 3pm. After the Bike Run we will have Battle of the Bands 3-11pm on Saturday the 26th. Come and rock out at the Fiesta (bring your chairs). Fiesta Mass 9a on Sunday, July 27th.

Mining District Historical Mine Tours — The Mining District Historical mine tour begins at the Bayard City Hall on the second Tuesday of every month. People are asked to call the City Hall at 537-3327 and let them know you plan to attend the tour so we will know what size bus to request. The price of the tour is $5.00 and a tour guide and brochures will be furnished. The tour goes from Bayard to Santa Rita with five stops in between where the guide will give a bit of history and interesting happenings in the local underground mines at each stop. The tour take about an hour and a half. A short time is also given at the Santa Rita lookout to view the new kiosk and the open pit mine.  Bayard to Santa Rita.
